New Microsoft SkyDrive Offers Synchronization With Windows 8
Probably the biggest change in the client integration with SkyDrive is the photo editor in Windows 8. When a user enters his account with Microsoft (Windows Live), the Photos app on Windows 8 works with the images associated with your account on SkyDrive. The new feature will also work with Windows 8 Preview Release , operating system version that Microsoft released yesterday.
Other changes include an increase in the number of files from 150,000 to 10 million, improving reliability in terms of synchronization and stability, and faster updates folder. In April, Microsoft in the space of 25GB to 7GB but increased the maximum file size to 2GB. If you need more space you can buy.
Integration with Windows 8 obviously does not work for Mac users, however, those using SkyDrive on your Apple computer will be happy to know that the persistent and annoying SkyDrive icon has been removed.
If you already have SkyDrive installed, this update should be installed automatically – just need to be running SkyDrive. Windows users can see what’s new in the version by right clicking the icon for SkyDrive in the system tray (bottom right corner of the taskbar) and click on “Settings” from the menu. For Mac users, select the application SkyDrive, click the menu “Settings” at the top of the screen and click on “About.” Here you should see the version number 16.4.4111.0525.
If you do not like to try SkyDrive and you can download the client here (Mac & PC). This installer will update to the latest version during the installation process.
